Sunday 19th July 2015, young people aged between 5 and 18 can buy MyTicket, the all-day bus ticket from travel across Merseyside, for just £2. Click here for more details. September 2015 will also see some further changes to make travel for young people easier and even better value:
From the 1st September 2015, the age eligibility for young persons' tickets will be extended to 18 years and under. This means you can continue to benefit from travel discounts, for a much longer period of time or you may now be able to buy and enjoy travel on a Young Person's ticket.
MyTicket, the £2 all-day, ticket which can be now used on any bus in Merseyside by young people up to and including the age of 18 will be extended on Arriva and Halton Transport bus services in the Halton Borough Council area. This will extend the geographic scope of MyTicket to places like Runcorn and Widnes.
Young people will enjoy cheaper fares on Arriva, Stagecoach, Avon and Halton Transport bus services. The operators have raised the age limit on their young people’s products up to and including the age of 18 and have reduced the fares by 50% off the adult fare for young people, in most cases, across Merseyside. Arriva and Halton -Transport have also extended these changes into the Halton Borough Council Area.
