Our Role
Our role is to support workers in the transport sector on Merseyside to gain the skills they need to be successful in their jobs and support a world class transport service. We also support those looking to enter the transport sector though our Sector Based Work Academies.
Support for Employment
We provide support to employers and individuals working in rail, bus, waterways, taxi and private hire, as well as to Merseytravel.
In addition to those in work, we also help people into employment by providing information, advice and guidance on careers pathways in the sector and support for people wishing to apply for jobs.
We also work in partnership with Job Centre Jobs to run Sector Based Work Academies to support training and employment opportunities within the transport sector.
For Taxi and Private Hire drivers, we offer information on the local Authority licensing requirements, the qualifications involved, and can link drivers with the organisations who can deliver these qualifications, please see the document below for more information.
