Merseytravel worked alongside local artist, Stephen Collett and students from The Observatory School to design and create a unique piece of artwork for the newly developed park and ride site at Bidston Rail Station.

Animate the Wait was a project undertaken by Merseytravel to bring together communities and arts and cultural organisations to create and inspire a better quality of life whilst promoting the cultural offers on Merseyside.

As part of Merseytravel's redevelopment of Broad Green Station Park and Ride car park, we welcomed the chance to work alongside the students from Broadgreen International School to create a collection of artworks to go on permanent display within the car park.

A new art installation themed 'Transport and fashion through the ages' was unveiled at Huyton Station.

A memorial plaque to commemorate Merseyside rail workers who lost their lives during the two world wars was unveiled at a service held at Old Roan Station. There was also a large piece of artwork unveiled, produced by pupils from Holy Rosary School in Aintree.

Our World and Merseytravel invited the public to submit drawings, illustrations and cartoons for entry into the environmental art competition which ran in 2009. The competition was specifically themed around the environment to help celebrate 2009 - Liverpool's Year of the Environment.
