Mersey Ferries

Mersey Ferries play a significant part in Merseyside's tourism industry and provide an important role in linking the Wirral to the rest of Merseyside.

Access to the ferry vessels is possible for wheelchair users, however, the slope of the ramps is dependent on the state of the tides, and at certain times the gradient can be severe. Due to the redevelopment of the Pier Head during 2007, Mersey Ferries are operating from a temporary ticket office and landing stage. Customers can telephone: 0151 330 1444 during office hours or visit www.merseyferries.co.uk for the latest access information. An electric buggy is available at both Seacombe and Woodside terminals for any customer who finds the ramp too steep.

New Mersey Ferry Terminal – Pier Head, Liverpool
A new terminal is planned to open at Pier Head during 2008. The terminal will be designed applying the highest standards of accessibility.
