Merseylink
The Merseylink service is Merseytravel's dial-a-ride bus service for people with mobility problems who cannot use ordinary public transport, some or all of the time.
The vehicles are designed for easy access and passenger comfort and include the following:
- wheelchair access;
- anchorage points for wheelchairs;
- seatbelts for all passengers;
- low steps;
- wide, comfortable seats;
- on board communications.
Drivers are caring, friendly and familiar with the needs of people with mobility problems.
The service runs from 8am to 11pm every day (including a limited service on Christmas Day) and can be used by members for travel anywhere in Merseyside.
The service is free for members and one essential travel companion.
Occasionally we may provide a taxi or low-floor bus for your journey, but this service will still be free.

Membership is free and open to any resident of Merseyside who:
- is in reciept of higher rate mobility element of Disability Living Allowance;
- is in receipt of the highest rate of Attendance Allowance;
- is a registered Blind Person;
- can provide evidence from their doctor that they cannot use public transport.
Application forms are available from the Merseylink Office.
- Proof of allowance or registration is required.
- Two passport size photographs are also required - staff at the Merseylink shop can take your photograph for £1.

- Travel Safety

All passengers using our service must, by law, wear seat belts and/or safety harnesses, which are provided. If you are not able to wear a seat belt for medical reasons, you must show a valid medical exemption certificate. You will then be able to travel on our vehicles without wearing the seatbelt and/or safety harness, but entirely at your own risk.
