Travelling to and from Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is located to the south of the city and is approximately 7km from the city centre. Buses run to the airport from Liverpool city centre and Liverpool South Parkway rail station, providing links to the rest of the country.

You can buy a ticket on-board the bus or a Saveaway ticket (one-day ticket for buses, trains and Mersey Ferries which can be used after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays) can be bought from the Spar store within the airport terminal building (open 8am - 6pm, 7 days a week).


  Rail

Regular train services run to and from Liverpool South Parkway rail station to either Liverpool Central or Moorfields stations (on the Merseyrail Northern Line) or Liverpool Lime Street (on the Merseyrail City Line). 

Services 80A and 86A run between Liverpool South Parkway rail station and the airport (these buses run between 04:57 and 23:02, 7 days a week).

Total journey time from the airport to the city centre, is approximately 40 minutes.  Passengers travelling from Wirral can use Wirral line rail services and change at Liverpool Central or Moorfields for connections to Liverpool South Parkway.

 

Long-distance trains also stop at Liverpool South Parkway, so you can easily reach Manchester, Yorkshire, the North East, East Midlands, West Midlands and connect to London services at Runcorn or CreweVisit www.nationalrail.co.uk to plan your journey.
