The Quality Bus Network is working towards making buses easier for you to catch in Merseyside. Merseytravel with Knowsley, Liverpool, St. Helens, Sefton and Wirral councils are working with the bus operators to create quality partnerships to make bus travel more convenient and quicker for you
What does it mean for my journey?
The Quality Bus Network are making improvements across many areas:
- Buses will be more regular during the day, so you don’t have to wait as long.
- Improved facilities at bus stops, such as better information and improved access.
- Drivers can accept daily and weekly tickets from other bus companies on routes that form part of the Networks.
- Merseytravel will work in partnership with the local councils to make improvements to the highways.
The Quality Bus Network covers the following services:
Use this service for Birkenhead, The Croft Retail Park, Wirral Met College, West Cheshire College, Cheshire Oaks and Chester.
10: Liverpool - St Helens or Huyton or Knotty Ash
Use this service for the Royal Liverpool Hospital, Kensington, Old Swan, Page Moss, Prescot and St Helens.
14: Liverpool - Croxteth
Use this service for the Royal Liverpool Hospital, Broadway, Norris Green and Croxteth.
53: Liverpool - Crosby
Use this service for Liverpool John Moores University (City Campus), Bootle Strand, Seaforth, Waterloo and Crosby.
82: Liverpool - Liverpool South Parkway or Speke
Use this service for Toxteth, Dingle, Aigburth and Liverpool South Parkway.
86 and 86A: Liverpool - Garston or Liverpool South Parkway
Use this service for Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Smithdown Road, Mossley Hill, Allerton, Liverpool South Parkway and Garston.
471 and 472: Liverpool - Birkenhead - Heswall and Barnston
Use this service for Birkenhead, Prenton, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park, Irby, Pensby and Heswall. Morning and evening services continue to Barnston.

Wherever you see this logo on a bus or in a timetable, it is part of the Quality Bus Network.
