Merseytravel’s Charity of the Year
Each year since 2003 Merseytravel members of staff have voted for a local charity to support. The chosen charity for 2011 is Clatterbridge Your Cancer Centre.
Clatterbridge your cancer centre’ is the only charity that raises funds to directly benefit the patients of Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology. Every year more than 7,000 patients are referred for treatment.
The money raised helps make a real difference to peoples lives, allowing the centre to improve the care, treatment, support and facilities offered. They can provide many “extras” over and above what the NHS would be expected to supply, which can make an important difference to a patient’s experience.
