Chinese New Year
8 – 10 February

Celebrate the Year of the Pig in the UK’s oldest Chinese Quarter. Festivities kick off from 7pm on Friday and Saturday with lion dancing (very different from line dancing!) and Chinese-influenced street theatre in around the Chinese Arch.  A light and pyrotechnic show will be projected onto surrounding buildings, with a live soundtrack provided by Jah Wobble.  Sunday’s the big one though, with a jam-packed schedule of events, including street and stage performances, family workshops, parades, firecracker displays and a Chinese market.

The city centre will be really busy, so we suggest leaving your car at home and using public transport to get out and about!

Gandeys Thrill Circus, Aintree Racecourse
15 February – 3 March

Roll up, roll up! Gandey’s famous circus is back! Expect thrills and skills a-plenty inside the super-sized Big Top. From aerial displays and acrobats, to jest and japes with world-famous clown Chico Rico, there’s something for everyone at this family-friendly event.

Cream Classical at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral
22 – 23 February

Experience iconic hits in an awesome setting. Performed by the 50-piece Kaleidoscope Orchestra and curated by DJ and producer K-Klass, this is a music event like no other. Dance the night away to a Cream Classics soundtrack and immerse yourself in the impressive surroundings of Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.

Girl on the Train, Playhouse Theatre Liverpool
11 – 16 March

You’ve read the book (maybe) and seen it on-screen (more likely) – now it’s time to see it on stage! Based on the international best-seller by Paula Hawkins, this intriguing thriller has been adapted for the theatre and stars telly favourites Samantha Womack and Oliver Farnworth. The story will leave you guessing until the very end!
