Railpass tickets are season tickets if you only use the train for your journeys in Merseyside and as far as Chester, Ellesmere Port and Ormskirk.

Railpass Ticket Options

You can buy them for a week, a month, a term or a year and they are available for adults or young people.

Your week, month or annual Railpass ticket will be loaded onto a Merseytravel smartcard.  

Term Time Railpass tickets will still be paper tickets.

Where to Buy
Railpass tickets are available from all staffed Merseyrail stations.

Smartcards do have an expiry date, you can check this expiry date on the receipt provided with any ticket purchase. 

If you do not have a receipt you can go to your nearest Travel Centre to find out when your card expires.
You must make sure that you have sufficient validity on your Smartcard before buying a ticket. 
If you do need to replace your Smartcard please visit your nearest Merseytravel Centre.
