Eastern Avenue will be closed from Hale Road to Dam Wood Road from Thursday 05 October until further notice. Eastern Avenue will be closed from Clough Road to Dam Wood Road from Friday 06 October until until further notice. 

Bus diversions are as follows:

From Thursday 5th October until further notice.

Route 82A

  • will operate as normal from Murdishaw to Hale Road this service will continue on Hale Road then via Airport Internal Road to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and resume normal route to Liverpool ONE Bus Station (omitting Eastern Avenue, Central Way, South Parade, Central Avenue and Western Avenue).
  • will operate as normal from Liverpool ONE Bus Station to Dunlop Road this service will continue on to Hale Road to High Street and resume normal route to Murdishaw (omitting Western Avenue, Central Avenue, South Parade, Central Way and Eastern Avenue).

Route 89

  • will operate as normal from St Helens to Western Avenue this service will continue on Western Avenue, Hale Road, Airport Internal Road to Liverpool John Lennon Airport (omitting Central Avenue, South Parade, Central Way and Eastern Avenue).
  • will operate as normal from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Hale Road then via Western Avenue and resume normal route to St Helens Bus Station (omitting a section of Hale Road, Eastern Avenue, Central Avenue).

From Friday 6th October 2023 until further notice

Routes 80, 81 and 82

  • will operate as normal to South Parade, Ganworth Road these services will continue on Ganworth Road, Millwood Drive to Speke Morrisons (omitting a section of Central Way, Eastern Avenue and Millwood Road).
  • will operate from Speke Morrisons then via Penketh Drive, Speke Boulevard, Western Avenue (roundabout) Western Avenue to Speke Boulevard and resume normal route to destinations (omitting Millwood Road, Eastern Avenue, Central Way, South Parade, Central Avenue and Western Avenue).

Route 201

  • will operate as normal from Speke Morrisons then via Ganworth Road to South Parade and resume normal route to Royal Liverpool Hospital (omitting Eastern Avenue)
  • will operate as normal from Royal Liverpool University Hospital to South Parade this service will continue on Ganworth Road to Speke Morrisons (omitting Eastern Avenue).

Route 800

  • will operate as normal from Speke Morrisons then via Ganworth Road to South Parade and resume normal route to Seaforth (omitting Eastern Avenue)
