Garswood Road will be closed in both directions between Billinge Road and Smock Lane from Monday 2 December 2024 for approximately 3 days.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 156
• From Garswood Station will operate as normal route to Garswood Road, then via Smock Lane, Billinge Road to Rectory Road, then as normal route back to Billinge Road, then via Smock Lane to Garswood Road, then resume normal route to St Helens Bus station. (Omits Garswood Road in both directions and a section of Billinge Road in both directions).
Service 156 (Evening journeys after 1930hrs)
• From Ashton will operate as normal route to Billinge Road, then via Smock Lane to Garswood Road, then resume normal route to St Helens Bus station. (Omits a section of Billinge Road, and Garswood Road).
• From St Helens Bus Station will operate as normal route to Garswood Road, then via Smock Lane, Billinge Road to Rectory Road, then resume normal route to Ashton. (Omits Garswood Road, and a section of Billinge Road).
