Due to roadworks on Haig Avenue and Meols Cop Road, service 44 will be diverted from Monday 12 August 2024 until further notice.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 44
- From Formby / Kew, Town Lane as normal to Kew, Town Lane Kew, at the Kew Roundabout, take the 1st exit via Scarisbrick New Road (not the 2nd exit via Meols Cop Road) then via Scarisbrick New Road, to right Haig Avenue, to left Forest Road and resume normal route to Southport and Crossens. Omits Meols Cop Road and a section of Haig Avenue.
- From Crossens and Southport as normal to Southport, Forest Road, at Haig Avenue turn right (not left), then via Haig Avenue, to left Scarisbrick New Road to the Kew Roundabout, take the 5th exit via Town Lane Kew and resume normal route to Kew, Town Lane and Formby. Omits a section of Haig Avenue and Meols Cop Road.
