The Southport Mad Dog 10km road race 2023 will take place on Sunday 19th March 2023. Various temporary road closures are required to be implemented in order to maintain safety for participants and road users. The following restrictions will be in operation from 0630 to approximately 1400.
Route 44 (between 0630 and 1400) will operate as normal from Crossens to Garstang Road, this service will continue on Fylde Road then via Marshside Road, to resume normal route via Southport to Kew or Formby (omitting Garstang Road, Hornby Road, Elswick Road and a section of Marshside Road).
Route 44 (between 0630 and 1400) will operate as normal from Formby or Kew via Southport to Marshside Road then via Fylde Road to resume normal route to Crossens (omitting a section of Marshside Road, Elswick Road, Hornby Road and Garstang Road).
