Male who commutes by bike

If you fancy going on a bike ride with others, there are lots of groups that get together right across Merseyside.

Cycle Liverpool South Bike Rides
Riders in and around south Liverpool on Saturday and Sunday mornings using local cycle routes to visit places such as Mersey Promenade, Calderstones Park, Speke Hall and Speke Garston Coastal Reserve. There are a few bikes available to borrow – please book your bike in advance. Go to the cycling events page of Liverpool City Council’s website to find out more about upcoming events, start times and meeting places on the cycling events.

Wheels for All
These rides offer adapted bikes for different individual needs, Head to the Wheels for All website for details of rides and the different bikes available. 

Breeze offers women-only bike rides run by volunteers trained by British Cycling. Routes range from leisurely rides to longer excursions for those wanting to really stretch their legs.

Wirral's Bicycle Belles
These women-only bike rides are held one Saturday a month, leaving from Port Sunlight. The rides take in the quieter parts of the Wirral and surrounding areas, and newcomers are always welcome. Visit the Bicycle Belles website for more information.

Sky Ride
Guided rides in Knowsley and further afield led by people trained by Sky and British Cycling. Find your local Sky Ride on the British Cycling website.

Beyond Merseyside
CTC Two Mills rides every Sunday and includes routes into the lanes of Cheshire, Wrexham and occasionally the hillier parts of North Wales as well as gentler stretches on the Wirral. CTC Merseyside run rides in Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire. Find information on all the rides on the Cyclists’ Touring Club website.
