Borough Road Town Link Flyover will be closed, between Chester Street and Hind Street, from Monday 20 July 2026 for approximately 4 weeks.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Services 1, X1 and 811
- From Chester Bus Interchange and Broughton Shopping Park will travel as normal to New Chester Road, then via Chester Street, Market Street, Hamilton Street to Conway Street, then as normal routes to Liverpool and Leasowe (omitting Borough Road Flyover, Clifton Crescent and Argyle Street).
These services will call at the stops on New Chester Road, opposite Valiant Way; and Birkenhead Bus Station, Stand 1 (811 to Leasowe); or Stand 7 (1, X1 to Liverpool).
