Cumber Lane will be closed, between Haslemere and Keats Avenue, from Monday 27 July 2026 for approximately 5 weeks.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 99
- From Whiston Station will travel as normal to Pennywood Drive, then via Lickers Lane, Windy Arbor Road, Dragon Lane to Cross Lane, then as normal route to Prescot Bus Station (omitting a section of Lickers Lane, Cumber Lane, Milton Avenue, Dragon Drive and a section of Dragon Lane).
This service will call at the stops on Pennywood Drive; and Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, Stop B. - From Prescot Bus Station will travel as normal to Cross Lane, then via Dragon Lane, Windy Arbor Road, Lickers Lane to Pennywood Drive, then as normal route to Whiston Station (omitting a section of Dragon Lane, Dragon Drive, Milton Avenue, Cumber Lane and a section of Lickers Lane).
This service will call at the stops at Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, Stop C; and Pennywood Drive.
Services 239 and 248
- From Prescot will travel as normal to Cross Lane, then via Dragon Lane to Greenes Road, then as normal routes to Broadgreen Hospital and Huyton Bus Station (omitting Dragon Drive, a section of Dragon Lane, Stoney Lane, Cumber Lane, Lickers Lane and Windy Arbor Road).
These services will call at the stops at Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, Stop C; and Pottery Lane, near Doulton Place. - From Broadgreen Hospital and Huyton Bus Station will travel as normal to Greenes Road, then via Dragon Lane to Cross Lane, then as normal routes to Prescot (omitting Windy Arbor Road, Lickers Lane, Cumber Lane, Stoney Lane, a section of Dragon Lane and Dragon Drive).
These services will call at the stops on Greenes Road, opposite Paradise Lane; and Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, Stop B.
