Due to traffic management causing issues at Hillfoot Avenue and Speke Hall Road, from Thursday 7 May 2026 until further notice, services 81 and 166 will be diverted.
These diversions are in place when the road closures relating to Speke Hall Road (Hunts Cross) are not in effect.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 81
• From Speke will be unaffected.
• From Bootle will be as normal route to Woolton Village, then via High Street, Hillfoot Road, Speke Hall Road, then as normal service to Speke. (Omits Speke Road and Hillfoot Avenue).
Alternative bus stop: Woolton Street, near Kings Drive and Speke Hall Avenue, near Parford Road.
Service 166
• From Belle Vale will be as normal route to Hillfoot Avenue, then via Woodend Avenue, Speke Boulevard, Speke Road, then as normal service to Belle Vale. (Omits a section of Hillfoot Avenue and Speke Hall Road).
Alternative bus stop: Hunts Cross Interchange, Hillfoot Avenue, near Woodend Avenue, stop D and Speke Road, near Speke Hall Avenue.
