Mount Road, between M53 and Clatterbridge roundabout, will be closed from Friday 17 July 2026 for approximately 3 nights, between 1900 and 0500 each night (Not Weekends).
Bus diversions are as follows:
Services 16 and 17
• From Eastham Rake will be as normal route to Willaston Road, then via Thornton Common Road, Neston Road, Smithy Hill, Manor Road, Talbot Road, Brimstage Road, then as normal routes to Arrowe Park Hospital. (Omits Clatterbridge Road, Hospital Internal Road and Mount Road).
Alternative bus stop: Brimstage Road, M53 and Brimstage Road, near Needham Drive.
Service 410
• From New Brighton will be as normal route to Brimstage Road then terminate (not Clatterbridge Hospital). Omits a section of Brimstage Road, Mount Road, Hospital Internal Roads and Clatterbridge Hospital).
• From Clatterbridge/Brimstage Road, near to M53 (not Clatterbridge Hospital) via Brimstage Road, via the M53 Roundabout, Brimstage Road, then as normal route to New Brighton. (Omits Clatterbridge Hospital, Hospital Internal Road, Mount Road and Clatterbridge Road).
Alternative bus stop: Brimstage Road, M53 and Brimstage Road, near Needham Drive.
Service 487
• From Liverpool/Birkenhead will be as normal route to Clatterbridge M53 Roundabout, then via Brimstage Road, Talbot Road, Manor Road, St Georges Way, Thornton Common Road, then as normal route to Neston. (Omits Mount Road, Clatterbridge Road and a section of Thornton Common Road.
Alternative bus stop: Brimstage Road, M53 and Thornton Common Road, near Church Road.
• From Neston as will be as normal route to Thornton Common Road, then via St Georges Way, Manor Road, Talbot Road, Brimstage Road to Clatterbridge M53 Rounabout, then as normal to Birkenhead and Liverpool. (Omits a section of Thorton Common Road, Clatterbridge Road and Mount Road).
Alternative bus stop: Thornton Common Road, near Church Road and Brimstage Road, near Needwood Road.
