Portland Street will be closed, between Cemetery Road and Chestnut Street, from Monday 15 June 2026 for approximately 5 days.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 15A
- From Birkdale will travel as normal to Ash Street, then via Scarisbrick New Road, Westmoreland Road to Southbank Road, then as normal route to Southport Hospital (omitting a section of Ash Street, Cemetery Road, Portland Street and Walnut Street).
This service will call at the stops on Sussex Road, near Zetland Street; and Southbank Road, near Falkland Road. - From Southport Hospital will travel as normal to Southbank Road, then continue via Southbank Road, Westmoreland Road, Scarisbrick New Road to Ash Street, then as normal route to Birkdale (omitting Cedar Street, Portland Street, Cemetery Road and a section of Ash Street).
This service will call at the stops on Southbank Road, opposite Falkland Road; and Sussex Road, near St Luke's Road.
