Planned changes to rail services
City and Other Lines:
Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July 2026
Engineering work is taking place overnight between Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street, closing some lines.
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday only: The 20:26 Cleethorpes to Liverpool Lime Street will not call at Urmston, Irlam, Birchwood, Warrington Central or Liverpool South Parkway. Passengers should use the 23:28 Manchester Oxford Road to Warrington Central.
Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July 2026
Engineering work is taking place between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street, closing some lines on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday only: The 22:00 London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Crewe. A rail replacement bus will operate between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street, calling at Runcorn, departing Crewe at 00:25.
Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July 2026
Engineering work is taking place between Hunts Cross and Liverpool Lime Street, closing some lines.
- The 22:47 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will not call at West Allerton and Mossley Hill. A bus will be provided from Liverpool South Parkway to Liverpool Lime Street to serve these stations.
- The 23:28 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Warrington Central. A bus will be provided from Warrington Central to Liverpool Lime Street.

Planned Mersey Tunnels Closures
Due to the Liverpool to Chester Charity bike ride event on Sunday 5 July, Queensway Tunnel will be closed during the following times:
