Upton Road will be closed, between Arrowe Park Road and Noctorum Avenue, from Monday 20 July 2026 for approximately 3 nights, between 1900 and Midnight each night.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 418
- From Birkenhead Bus Station will travel as normal to Hoylake Road, then continue via Hoylake Road, Fender Lane, Hoylake Road, Upton Road, Moreton Road to Arrowe Park Road, then as normal route to New Ferry (omitting Bidston Village Road, Fender Way, Warren Drive, Upton Road and Ford Road).
This service will call at the stops on Hoylake Road, near Bidston Village Road; and Arrowe Park Road, near Ford Road. - From New Ferry will travel as normal to Arrowe Park Road, then via Moreton Road, Upton Road, Hoylake Road, Fender Lane to Hoylake Road, then as normal route to Birkenhead, Laird Street (omitting Ford Road, Upton Road, Warren Drive, Fender Way and Bidston Village Road).
This service will call at the stops on Arrowe Park Road, near Newton Way; and Hoylake Road, near Compton Road.
Service 437
- From Liverpool will travel as normal to Upton Road, then via Tollemache Road, Hoylake Road, Fender Lane, Hoylake Road, Upton Road, Moreton Road to Old Greasby Road, then as normal route to West Kirby Station (omitting a section of Upton Road and Ford Road).
This service will call at the stops on Upton Road, near Tollemache Road; and Old Greasby Road, opposite Welton Avenue. - From West Kirby Station will travel as normal to Old Greasby Road, then via Moreton Road, Upton Road, Hoylake Road, Fender Lane, Hoylake Road, Tollemache Road to Upton Road, then as normal route to Liverpool (omitting Ford Road and a section of Upton Road).
This service will call at the stops on Old Greasby Road, near Welton Avenue; and Upton Road, near Alderley Avenue.
