Westminister Road (northbound only), between Melrose Road and Braemar Street, will be closed from Thursday 23 July 2026 for approximately 2 days, between 0800 and 1700 each day.
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 58
• From Liverpool will be as normal route to Westminster Road, then via Brewster Street, Southport Road, Breeze Hill, Balliol Road, Hawthorne Road, then as normal route to Netherton. (Omits a section of Westminster Road and a section of Hawthorne Road).
Alternative bus stop: Westminister Road, near Rumney Road and Hawthorne Road, near Trinity Road.
• From Netherton will be unaffected.
Service 159
• From Walton Park will be as normal route to Melrose Road, then via Brewster Street, Southport Road, Breeze Hill, Balliol Road, Hawthorne Road, then as normal route to Fazakerley, Aintree University Hospital. (Omits a section of Westminster Road and a section of Hawthorne Road).
Alternative bus stop: Kirkdale Interchange, Melrose Road, near Westminister Road, stop D and Hawthorne Road, near Trinity Road.
• From Aintree University Hospital will be unaffected.
