Woodchurch Road will be closed, between Bennetts Hill and Arno Road, from Monday 15 June 2026 for approximately 12 nights, between 1900 and Midnight each night (there is not expected to be any weekend working).
Bus diversions are as follows:
Service 492
- From Birkenhead will travel as normal via Beechwood to Woodchurch Road, then via Singleton Avenue, Borough Road, Balls Road East to Oxton Road, then as normal route to Birkenhead (omitting a section of Woodchurch Road).
This service will call at the stops on Woodchurch Road, opposite Moss Lane; and Oxton Road, near Woodchurch Road.
Service 495
- From Birkenhead will travel as normal to Oxton Road, then via Balls Road East, Borough Road, Singleton Avenue to Woodchurch Road, then as normal route via Beechwood to Birkenhead (omitting a section of Woodchurch Road).
This service will call at the stops on Oxton Road, near Oak Bank; and Storeton Road, opposite Fairview Road.
